Wear is common to a vehicle of 10+ years, except for on pieces that are original interior panels.  See pictures for details.  Not a #1 Concourse car, but a nice drive-able restoration.  All parts function, excepting the gas gauge and temp becoming frozen after a long while in storage.  Car has passed recent inspection and gauge related systems are in working order.

Story:
Ryan's 1959 Ford Thunderbird is a cruiser in every sense of the word.  Sporting many of the luxury features of the era - power steering, power brakes, power windows, power seat, ac, am - plus the upper end trim package - Lincoln Lion hubcaps, driver-side spotlight, and center mount radio antenna it's in prime shape.  Of course the '59 T-bird's biggest claim to fame is its front bumper.  It is the largest single piece chrome bumper ever put on a manufactured car.  Another unique feature about the Ford Thunderbird, is that there aren't any Ford decals on its exterior.  At the time, Ford wanted to make a complete and individual brand representing its own unique style.  What's this all translate into?  Read: hooptie.

There are certainly no raucous stories of body bending crashes associated with this car, as it tracks slow and smooth, and is usually given plenty of attention by everyone else around it.  It's been in parade and car shows and is reliable enough to go to the market.  Still, much like an alluring model it can suffer from over exposure, so it spends most of it's days garaged and warm.

And while the world laments the girth and guzzling of the SUV craze, the same world smiles and nods when the T-bird goes by.  Why such an about face for a vehicle that has nearly the same weight and even worse gas mileage?  Because this ride has got charm.  You can get away with quite a bit when everyone watching has a twinkle in their eye.
